Mathematics for Business, Economics and Finance 2023/2024
How to: a brief description of the course.
- Lectures: a detailed schedule of the lectures is available. You can find a list of the topics discussed during classes, with references to chapters in the textbooks. Reading (and studying from) textbooks is strongly recommended. Even a quick read of the chapters before the lecture could be a good idea.
- Training sessions: some exercises are proposed and discussed during lectures. Others will be available for self-study on this AVL (Lectures' Virtual Room).
- Office hours: interactions with the instructors goes beyond lectures' time. You can address questions to instructors in two ways:
* a Forum online in this AVL: your post will be answered by an instructor, but fellow students are welcome to post their comments;
* regular office hours: according to schedule published online, instructors are available to meet students online (via Microsoft Teams) or in person (according to LIUC safety procedures). If you need to schedule an appointment outside these hours, you can contact directly the instructors by email.
- Prerequisites: The course does not require specific skills, other than the computing skills common to any higher education degree. To make it easier for students, short tutorials on these topics are available in the AVL and specific assistance will be provided during the first weeks. Students are warmly recommended to make sure to master all the contents described in the "Precourse" section of the AVL, as these will not be explicitly dealt with in the lessons, but will be considered acquired and used.
